Indian American astronaut Sunita Williams, who holds the feat of completing the longest space flight for a woman, received the Padma Bhushan — India’s second highest civilian award — here for her outstanding achievements.

This news doesn’t surprise me a bit because i knew this was coming for she is the perfect person who deserved the acclaim and accolades. On second thoughts, was it a little FAST by Indian standards??...lol

Quite deserved! I am won’t be surprised if she is awarded like similar titles in years to come as surely she has a lot in store to do further and surprise and mesmerize the entire globe!

Why not Bharat Ratna? I know that people will say that we people always find a way to crib about stuff, but really considering the past political names who got it, it is not too much. She deserves that and more and continue to remain an inspiration for many. Still it is a nice gesture from the officials... She brings further glitz to the the title and not the title to her!
